The porn actress who's fighting to talk about Trump

Stormy Daniels thinks the public got it wrong about her alleged affair with Donald Trump, and her lawyer says she wants to "set the record straight." To do that, the adult film actress has filed a lawsuit to invalidate a nondisclosure agreement she signed days before the 2016 presidential election, which prevented her from discussing whatever may have happened between her and the now president. Trump's attorney Michael Cohen has denied there was ever an affair. What's the big deal? If there was an alleged coverup, some lawmakers are concerned it violated federal election law.

Not funny. Not clever. Not cool.

In the two weeks after the Florida school shooting, 638 school threats were reported. The vast majority were pranks, sowing fear among students and parents and diverting law enforcement. On Wednesday, Nikolas Cruz was formally charged with 17 counts of first-degree murder in the Florida case. He could face execution if convicted, but his lawyer says he's willing to plead guilty if he can avoid a death sentence. Meanwhile, those who survived the shooting are continuing their activism ahead of the March 24 March for Our Lives. Among many key factors in their organizing success? Twitter.

The wonders of spit: This at-home test could assess your risk for cancer

DNA testing isn't just for figuring out where your ancestors hail from. The company 23AndMe has developed a kit allowing users to determine their risk for breast cancer — right at home. But there are several catches, most notably the test detects only three of the more than 1,000 breast cancer mutations out there, including BRCA1. That's the mutation actress Angelina Jolie said she carried, leading her to get a double mastectomy. Even 23AndMe admits the test could help with prevention, but it won't replace a trip to the doctor.

Who's got beef? Wendy's and McDonald's, and it's fresh

Wendy's has always boasted of its fresh, never-frozen, beef patties. Then McDonald's said Tuesday it would also play that game and serve fresh beef at some of its restaurants. What followed was Wendy's getting real fresh on its social media accounts, wishing Mickey D's a happy #NationalFrozenFoodsDay and tweeting photo after photo of wimpy looking burgers. Also in business news you need to know:

Coca-Cola is testing a boozy drink, but don't get too excited because it's not coming to the U.S.
Jeff Bezos is totally rich. In fact, he's the richest. Here's how the world's billionaire women stack up.
We ask an all-important question: Would you eat a burger flipped by a robot?

An elephant never forgets

Something you want done but there's too much backlash? Wait a few months and try again — that's a strategy working for the Trump administration. When the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced in the fall it would allow big-game hunters to bring back elephant "trophies," it faced a loud public outcry. President Trump paused the attempt and tweeted that the animal body parts were a "horror show." Just three months later, the  Fish and Wildlife Service now says it will assess (and seemingly allow) elephant cases on an individual basis. FWIW, the African elephant has been classified as threatened under the U.S. Endangered Species Act since 1979.
